I am a senior at the Bergen County Academies, pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma. I also run track (sprints) for Bergen Tech. With interests in helping others, problem-solving, and using creative thinking, I believe HomeSafe Mission to be the perfect challenge for me. As both the founder and president, I enjoy hosting the board meetings and leading the strategic plan management. I also have non-board duties such as directing the education opportunities, being in charge of all outreach programs, and working with the brilliant minds of our volunteers worldwide. I'm extremely proud of the opportunities the board and I are working to create for homeless individuals in the NY Metropolitan area. I cannot wait to see our progress each year and how many individuals we will bring home safe.
I’m a senior at Bergen County Academies in the Academy for Business and Finance, where I focus on leadership, service, and creating meaningful impact through education. I’m involved in various school clubs, community organizations, and volunteer initiatives that center around outreach, youth development, and public engagement. My experiences have shaped my interest in using communication, advocacy, and financial awareness to support underserved communities. As part of HomeSafe Mission, I’m excited to help expand our presence, strengthen our mission, and explore new ways to uplift those in need through thoughtful and sustainable action.

I am a dedicated student-athlete currently attending Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro, NJ. As a proud member of the Bergen Tech baseball Team. I truly value hard work and commitment, both on the field and in the classroom. Managing my time responsibly is important to me, whether it's doing well in class, pursuing my athletic goals, or actively participating in various clubs. I'm excited to bring my enthusiasm for sports and strong work ethic to HomeSafe's board, contributing positively to our shared interests and goals.
I’m a junior at Mount Saint Dominic Academy and really enjoy being involved in both school and community service. Helping others has always been important to me, and I try to stay active in different service opportunities whenever I can. At school, I’m part of Project Outreach, Key Club, and the Veterans Club. Through these groups, I’ve taken part in things like organizing drives, volunteering at events, and supporting causes that make a real impact. I am excited to be apart of HomeSafe Mission and focus on helping others. Being involved in service has helped me grow and given me a better understanding of how important it is to give back. It’s something I plan to keep doing throughout high school and beyond.

I am currently enrolled as a freshman at Villanova University. My commitment to community service is integral to my character. I find fulfillment in aiding individuals experiencing homelessness through the HomeSafe Mission, offering them hope and support. I hold a deep regard for service and am actively involved in extracurricular activities during high school, including Glamour Gals, Key Club, and Relay for Life, where I actively contributed to initiatives aimed at assisting those in need. I am the former vice president of HomeSafe Mission, and also held non-board duties in directing advocacy, but as a college freshman I will now take a less hands-on position of Coordinator, to be available to sign off on outreach and partner decisions.
I am a dedicated student-athlete currently attending Fordham University. As a recent graduate of Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro, NJ, and proud member of the Leonia High School Varsity Swim Team, I contribute my passion for swimming and a commitment to excellence in every stroke. I truly value hard work and dedication, both in the pool and in the classroom. Managing my time responsibly is a priority for me, whether it's excelling in academics, pursuing my athletic goals, or actively participating in various activities. I'm excited to bring my enthusiasm for sports and strong work ethic to HomeSafe's board, contributing positively to our shared interests and goals. While I used to be involved in our social media and website issues, entering college I am now taking on the role of Director, to resolve outreach issues, should any arise.

My name is Maria Lazarou, and I'm thrilled to be entering Academy of the Holy Angels, where I look forward to embracing new learning experiences and personal growth. Alongside my academic journey, I am passionate about competitive dance, which has instilled in me a sense of discipline and creativity. Beyond my personal interests, I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in the community. This commitment drives my desire to support HomeSafe Mission. By contributing my time and efforts, I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who require assistance and support through my assistant role in development director.
